Currently I am sitting in bed, munching on some quick homemade oatmeal cookies and pouring myself yet another cup of echinacea tea. I've been sick-ish since sunday night, but that is fine I guess, I had been trying to fight it off for weeks already and I've always dodged the bullet and right now I am very thankful that I could attend all the fun things that had been happening the past weeks.
Last week's weekend I was lending a hand to get some work done at and around a castle and I had such a good time getting all soaked from the rain and just being outside doing physical work that I really enjoy. I returned home tired but very content; it might sound strange, but there is great pleasure in just disconnecting and focusing on work that challenges your body rather than just your mind. It is a wonderful feeling to crawl into your bed after a day of productivity and just being physically tired - maybe this is why I enjoy farmwork and work/travel adventures so much; it seems to reset my daily cycle of sleep and activity back to normal and my energy levels are greatly benefiting from that!
I also just came back from an absolutely fantastic larp and am again - beyond tired but happy. I think my sore muscles will stick with me for a while and I have met so many new and wonderful people (both ingame and out of game), that I cannot wait for the next time to put on my Paladin gear and fight alongside all of these fantastic allies! I am also plotting on a wee wee armour upgrade (because one can never have too much armour *winks*) I only need to get crafting and/or find some nifty pieces online.
I can only say it again; such a pleasure to finally play something warrior-like without being evil ... *looking at you, Drow-gear, looking at you* I am really looking forward to seeing, where fate will lead this character and although I have my own ideas of what and how I want her to become over time, one can never say it this is how things will go and that is part of the fun.
I've had some some very intense moments, super exciting fights and most of all; loads of fun.
It also happened for the first time, that I ran into someone who recognized me from this very blog (right before I ...errr....fell asleep while acting out a healing process ^____^;; Feel personally greeted, if you are reading this, if was definitely a great pleasure and quite the surprise!)
