Good morning~

Slowly I am getting myself back to getting up before eight again - which is a lot easier when I am already looking forward to have breakfast (food bribes me out of bed most of the time).
I have just finished said breakfast and now all that is left for me is to drink my tea, get ready and leave the house.
My mornings usually start like this:
The moment my alarmclock starts singing, my cat, regardless of where he is, begins to scream happily, charge towards the bed and start snuggling because he knows that "the elf is awake again". Today we had the addition of a short waking-up-term round four o'clock, when his bookshelf-sprinting-adventures also knocked quite some heavy books of the rack. Oh well.

There is something very magical about mornings

I've had quite busy and productive days lately, but I always like to plan it that way - makes me get back into the right mindset for the University year.
There is something about getting up before or around sunrise, that is quite satisfying. It can also be a wee bit tormenting sometimes, but usually the very first light of the sun makes it worth it; I adore watching the first golden rays gently touch the branches of the evergreens around my home, it is one of my favourite things.
In the summer, when I sleep with my windows open, one can also hear the morning birds chirping which makes it a lot easier for me to wake up.

Today I will have to venture forth into the city again to cross some more things off my to-do list, followed by my daily workout afterwards and grovery shopping after that. Hopefully I can be done with everything by one o'clock the latest, so that I can be back on time to  have some more food, study a little and then enjoy my leisure time.
If there is one thing I am looking forward to, then it is the days getting longer again. I enjoy the darkness of winter (a lot!) but for art-purposes it can be a little challenging as we don't have the best lighting and I always prefer natural light to draw.
