Just an average day of armour-care

Busy days, busy days!

I have been so occupied lately (not with bad things only) - but with certain things, one best starts out early. Pre-con-stress is something I really try to avoid (for I know it's wrath and ruin. Thinking about that one wrathful time where I assisted my sis to sew a dress two days prior to HobbitCon and that other time where we made our costumes the day of the convention *sweats*) You cannot always help it; sometimes there are nasty delays or else and this is exactly why you have to finish the things you can as early as possible.
Stuff like this: armour fixing, cleaning de-rusting (because apparently they must have become wet somehow) and polishing:

what elven warriors do in their leisure time...
the "before" of the now "shiny one

This time, the only thing that I did not have control over were my boots that broke down one larp ago and have been in repair ever since. I've already been given a taste of what "delay" can mean, as these shoes have been at the shoe's maker for over two months now, where it was supposed to only take maybe two weeks. *sigh* It has already been quite the stressful factor, as I "kind of needed" them next weekend and "really needed" them the weekend after.
However, yesterday I was spontaneously phones that I could pick them up and he had done marvellous work.
Ah, sweet relief.

My white and shiny pants are also white and shiny again, the  wild crew of all kinds of stain-removers has worked it's magic. *raises hands in prayer-like motion*

Goal of the week is to get my pauldrons so shiny they will blind people when sunlight is reflected *laughs*
Now though, I am off to duty and my polishing-work shall contunie tomorrow, where I am free for a change~
