That my dear readers, is insane.
One of the greter projects of this week has been my armour, which at first went through some hardcore rust defense program (because I was treated to a pair of steel bracers that did already have rust on them when they were bought - with discount of course!), general cleaning and further adjustmets.
Adjustments, because the bracers will be worn as leg armour as was my initial plan, as they are too big for my arms. And besides, I wanted to make something that can be worn on my thighs anyways.

Here is a wee video of me dealing with some remaining rust patches and general polishing/oiling.

How the leg armour works

On top of all that, I had a sudden moment of inspiration where I decided to finally tackle the "prayer-book-project, which is basically a simple notebook that I had covered in blue leather and did some adjustments, so that it can be worn on one's belt. It has something quite Paladin-esque and slightly decadent to it, I don't know why, but I really enjoy the idea. If you know Warhammer - yes, this. Except way smaller and more practical as I do not plan to smash my foes to death with my prayers ...wait a minute... well, not yet and not that literally.
The book was already made, as it originally served my Drow Anti-Paladin as a guide with her charactersheet on the inside, as well as a couple of Deshineth phrases on the inside, that I by now know by heart.

Now I am a perfectionist like that. This is such a curse sometime - I will not lie, I had great fun doing this, but also my moments of absolute brain deadness because writing and adjusting rpayers is quite exhausting, especially, because I also want it to look pretty - not because I am planning to show it around, but because I will know what it looks like, even if I don't even touch this item ONCE ingame. And it would bother me to carry and empty book about with me, when it is supposed to be well filled.
I have already accepted, that I will not manage to fill all the pages until the weekend (not if I want to show up at least somewhat sane still), but I think I could manage half of it.
I am already keeping certain spells/miracles in mind while writing some of them but most are just ... well, random prayers/mantras/affirmations and I am curious how many of them this character will use in her "larp carreer" thehe.
And speaking of Warhammer, there is something else about their warpriests/paladins that I am a total sucker about - purity seals. I just love the look of tightly written vows/prayers/else on parchment or cloth and attatched to one's armour or weapon (armour in my case). Not only does it look nice, I figured, it would also suit the character of my character (wow that sentence...)
I didn't want to make it look like an actual seal though, more like it has been stuffed inbetween plates of her armour and I am quite pleased with the results. Writing on this fabric was such a pain and we will see how well it does in the rain - I don't mind if it has to be redone though, I want to re-do it anyways, with a better pen~

In any case, I did a couple of variations with the outfit to make it look a tad more elegant, it also included fiddling with things and figuring out how to drape everything:

THIS is going to be photoshopped at some point, I can smell it in the air. Mark my words.
(it looks weird without Elfears)

Bonus: the about weirdest pose you can go for while wearing armour.
And a tiny cloak version with the proper ears attatched this time (because taken on a different day)
And after this massive photospam, I have to run because my bus is waiting - have a wonderful and epic weekend~
